Results of the TV Market in Cannes

The annual television market MIPTV, which was taking place from October 4th till October 8th in the French town of Cannes, is now over. Two projects of the film company RFG (ROSPOfilm Group) – crime action “Jacked$” and crime drama “Velvet Revolution” – arose an international interest.

Top management of RFG (ROSPOfilm Group) will be spending a week in Cannes, France, participating in MIPTV (International Television Programme Market). This year it takes place on October 4 – 8. MIPTV, along with MIPCOM (The International Marketplace for Entertainment Content) are the largest in Europe and compete only with the annual NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives) Conference & Exhibition in the U.S. NATPE 2005 will take place in Las Vegas in the end of January.

Just recently director Oleg Stepchenko returned from Hollywood, where he worked on the final scenes of his movie “Jacked$” with renowned American actor Michael Madsen.

In this gangster comedy a perfect type cast Mr. Madsen plays an ill tempered, Elvis Presley obsessed, high powered Mafia Boss. It's no secret that Oleg Stepchenko went to great lengths to ensure Mr. Madsen's participation in the project. Alexey A. Petrukhin, who plays Body 2, a ruthless killer in “Jacked$”, took part in the film's final on-location takes in Hollywood.

Memorial Service for Bill… Untimely Deceased

RFG (ROSPOfilm Group) and STEP by STEP Productions conducted a memorial service for Bill last July. Alexey Kravchenko, Alexey A. Petrukhin, Vassiliy Livanov, Oleg Taktarov, Michail Gorevoi, Tatyana Vassilieva were among many actors and famous Russian cinematographers who have attended this sorrowful event.
